Palm Sunday
Catholic and Protestant communities celebrate Palm Sunday. (The Orthodox Christian community celebrates later as they follow the Julian calendar.) This marks the beginning of Holy Week, historically the most sacred time of year for Christians. Palm Sunday recalls an event in the Christian Scripture (The New Testament) of Jesus entering into Jerusalem and being greeted by the people waving palm branches. For Christians, it is a reminder of the welcoming of Jesus into our hearts and of our willingness to follow him.

Good Friday April 15th a short "Pilgrimage"
WALK TO THE CROSS AND BEYOND, WITH JESUS (just around two blocks starting at Scots-Memorial from 2pm to about 3.30pm) We will walk slowly together, linking the Biblical Story of Jesus' last two days of earthly life to the activities that go on around and within the church building. We will make 14 stops along the way to listen to scripture, think about activities today, and pray. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, a sun hat or wet weather gear according to the weather, and perhaps bring a bottle of water.
